Johnson & Johnson China Global Pediatrics Conference Supports Advancements in Pediatric Medicine

2015/03/26

From August 30 to 31, 2014, the 11th Johnson & Johnson China Global Pediatrics Conference was successfully held in 19 cities including Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou. Nearly 3,000 pediatricians participated in the event, whose mission is to "focus on the latest international trends in pediatrics to improve children’s healthcare." This year’s conference introduced webcast technology and digital tools, such as WeChat, to enable more physicians to take part in the conference.

Professor Anne Bernadette Chang from the Royal Children's Hospital of Brisbane and Professor Robert Marshall Ward from the University of Utah’s School of Medicine in Salt Lake City traveled to China to attend the conference. They delivered lectures on treating children's chronic cough and persistent bacterial bronchitis (PBB) as well as on the antipyretic and analgesic effects of ibuprofen and acetaminophen. The speeches were well received and attracted widespread interest from domestic researchers and physicians.
